Whatman Zap Cap-S (sterile ZapCap) is used for filtering cell culture media, whole serum, and other viscous solutions. The Whatman ZapCap-S feature a 76mm cellulose acetate membrane filter integrated with a borosilicate prefilter in a single housing, providing a faster flow rates. the Whatman Zap Cap-S cellulose acetate membrane has low extractables, very low protein binding, and an effective filtration area of 39.2cm². Whatman Zap Cap-S (sterile ZapCap) sealing gasket fits all standard glass media bottles with neck sizes of 33–45mm. Filters are gamma irradiated, noncytotoxic and nonpyrogenic.
